Overview
Equuleus, the Foal, is a small constellation which is meant to represent the head of a foal or little horse. It can be found between Pegasus and Delphinus.
Stars in Equuleus
Kitalpha (Alpha Equulei / α Equ / HIP104987)
With an apparent magnitude of +3.9 this is the brightest star in Equuleus. Kitalpha has a spectral type of G0 and is located 186.27 light years from Earth. α Equ also has a companion, a white dwarf of spectral type A5.
Beta Equulei (β Equ / HIP105570)
A class A dwarf star with spectral type of A3 and an apparent magnitude of +5.16.
Gamma Equulei (γ Equ)
A class F-A star with spectral type of F0p (maybe A9p) and an apparent magnitude of +4.7. This star has a possible binary companion.
Delta Equulei (δ Equ / HIP104858A)
A spectral type F5 star with a binary companion δ Equ B (HIP104858B). δ Equ B has a spectral type of G0.
